You ask, we answer: What was with the crawfish in the Renaissance Plaza fountain?

QUESTION:

ANSWER: Dead crawfish were at the bottom of the Renaissance Plaza fountain in late August. The Alhambra Downtown Business Association and Edwards Theater management do not know who threw the crawfish into the fountain on Main Street and Garfield Avenue and have not received any other similar reports. A cleaner from the Edwards Renaissance Theater removed the fish.

A manager at The Boiling Crab, the only restaurant in the vicinity that serves crawfish, told Alhambra Source that homeless people sometimes look through the restaurant's trash at night and possibly took crawfish and threw them into the water. The restaurant has contacted the city to provide locks for its dumpsters.
