Four catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles in Alhambra between Aug. 8 and Aug. 10, according to a Facebook post Thursday morning from the Alhambra Police Department. Suspects are targeting residential areas, removing the device used in exhaust systems on the underside of automobiles.

Suspects removed the catalytic converter from two Mercury Villager vans and two Toyota trucks. The thefts occurred on the 100 block of South Fifth Street, the 800 block of South Stoneman Avenue, the 800 block of North Olive Avenue, and the 3200 block of West Concord Avenue.

"If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your area contact the police department," Alhambra PD posted.
