Tortoise reunited with owners after roaming Alhambra

A 150-pound tortoise was reunited with his family on Sunday after escaping from his Alhambra home and wandering the city, the Los Angeles Times reports. A resident spotted Clark the tortoise Saturday afternoon, and police transported him to the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control. His family claimed him less than 24 hours later.

The Alhambra Police Department joked on Facebook that the tortoise "did try to make a run for it; but our officers are pretty fast."

Clark is home with his family and best friend — a bull dog, the Pasadena Star-News reports
