Suspects sought in robbery of woman after ATM withdrawal

The Alhambra Police Department is searching for two male suspects who robbed a woman after she withdrew cash from an ATM in Alhambra.

Police received a call about the robbery at 10:42pm on Monday. The female victim had withdrawn money from an ATM at Chase Bank on 401 E. Valley Blvd. Two male Hispanic suspects approached her and took her purse and cash. The suspects then fled in a black vehicle. “No weapon was used or seen, but the items were taken by force and fear,” the APD said on its Facebook page. There are no further descriptions of the subjects or the car.

Police say the investigation is underway. “We are looking to see if any video cameras in the area may have captured anything,” said Detective Sgt. Jim Hammond.
