A man tried to escape arrest in the back of an Alhambra police car early Saturday by kicking the window, police said.
Residents called the Alhambra Police Department around 3 a.m. to report that a man had allegedly broken into their home and was screaming for help, Alhambra PD posted Saturday on Facebook
. Officers determined the man was under the influence of drugs and arrested him. The suspect tried to escape from the back of squad car on the way to the police station, kicking the car window and breaking the window frame.
Police say he was unsuccessful. "No, he wasn’t able to make good on his escape," Alhambra PD posted on Facebook, along with a photo of the broken window frame. "Sorry folk (sic), one less squad car."
