Readers debate historic preservation in Alhambra

The planned demolition of a 90-year-old Alhambra home and the city's failing grade in historic preservation from the L.A. Conservancy spurred a debate among Alhambra Source readers. While some wanted City Council to adopt a preservation ordinance to protect Alhambra's historic resources, others said preserving older homes and buildings would be costly and should ultimately be the responsibility of property owners.
