Meet Brownie and Rudy at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Location

San Gabriel , CA 91776 United States

Name: Brownie

ID:28176

Gender: Male

Breed: Chihuahua mix

Age: 8 years old

Weight: 10 pounds

Fur: Tan

Brownie is a male Chihuahua mix, around 8 years old, weighing about 10 pounds. Brownie is a sweet, gentle dog, found as a stray during a heavy rainstorm by a good Samaritan who brought Brownie to the shelter. He is now available for adoption and is waiting patiently for a forever home where he is safe and secure and warm and dry during the next big storm. Brownie was a little shy at first, but he has learned that he is in a safe place with staff and volunteers who care about his welfare, and he is becoming more comfortable each day. Brownie seems to prefer the company of people to being with other dogs, and will settle in a lap for some petting and attention. He is easy to harness and walks well on leash and seems to enjoy exploring new surroundings. Brownie has a calm disposition and would probably do best in a quiet home where he can feel secure and loved. Brownie qualifies for our Senior-for-Senior adoption discount and he would be a lovely companion for a senior citizen or couple. Come and meet this special little dog – he is sure to touch your heart. His adoption fee is $130 and includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian.

Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on Brownie. He currently resides at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel, which is located off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Brownie, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. Rudy is a handsome Chihuahua mix boy, about 6 years old, weighing 14 pounds. Rudy was surrendered to the shelter by an owner who was moving and couldn’t take Rudy along. Rudy enjoys his walks with our volunteers who report that he is easy to harness and seems to have some experience with walking on leash. He has high energy, is very excited and eager with lots of energy to spend. He likes to run and keep moving. Rudy likes to play with other dogs, and will also happily fetch toys that are thrown for him. He seems to love people – he has a very affectionate side and enjoys getting petted. Rudy is very alert, curious, focused and smart. He is an active dog who needs an active owner. A secure yard is a must for this boy, too. Rudy is looking for a family who will give him lots of exercise, a social life and training to help him channel his energy and become the great dog he has the potential to be. Come and meet this sweet boy – he just might charm his way into your heart. His adoption fee is $130 and includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian.
