At 6:00 p.m., the Alhambra Unified School District Board of Education will meet to recognize Marguerita and Park Elementary Schools, which were named as 2018 California Distinguished Schools. This state award recognizes schools that narrow the achievement gap.

The school board will also approve employee work calendars and approve superintendent recommendations for new employment and employment changes in the district.

The school board will also discuss a possible study of the formation of middle schools in Alhambra and conduct a public hearing about increasing school fees on developers of new construction in the district. A first reading of a guideline involving student-employee interactions will also be conducted.
