A man was charged on Tuesday with sexually assaulting several women in Alhambra and elsewhere in Los Angeles County from October 2016 to December of last year.

Nicolas Morales, 44, was arrested by Alhambra police officers on Friday in Santa Clarita, Calif., according to an Alhambra Police Department press release. He is suspected to have picked up a woman in Los Angeles on Dec. 30, 2017 and driving her to a secluded parking lot in Alhambra, where he sexually assaulted her.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Morales posed as a rideshare driver before raping and sexually assaulting seven known victims.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has filed 27 counts of sexual assault against Morales. His bail is set at $10.3 million and his arraignment is scheduled for March 8.
