The Alhambra City Council has a busy slate for today’s meeting. At 5:30, they will hear presentations on providing unused sick leave credits to city workers, city management restructuring and a draft budget for capital improvements.

At 7, the council will vote on authorizing at $10,000 for information about the suspect in the death of Xiuxia “Michelle” Chen, who was shot and killed in a robbery on June 2 at the Ambassador Inn. The council will also hold a public hearing on the approval of an application for a new development at 1428 S Marengo Ave, which requires a general plan amendment and zone change. As part of its consent agenda, the council will consider authorizing $100,000 for a Rose Parade float, a contract with the Chamber of Commerce for a little over $100,000 and a contract to appoint Marc Castagnola the interim director of Development Services.
