Alhambra Source Salutes the AUSD Graduating Seniors of 2020: Today, San Gabriel High School

The Alhambra Source is proud to congratulate the graduating seniors from all five AUSD high schools. You are certainly taking a brave step into the new normal and we applaud your courage, determination and strength in weathering the last two months of a school experience far different than anyone could have anticipated.

Over the last few days we have been highlighting a graduating senior from the high schools with a self-recorded video talking about their school and accomplishments.

Today, we highlight San Gabriel High School and ASB President Lily Ta. San Gabriel’s virtual graduation will be streamed on YouTube. It will be held Tuesday, June 9th at 6 p.m.

Some Facts About Lily:

Age: 18

Residence: Rosemead

College choice: Cal State Fullerton

Career Goal: Physical Therapist

Favorite subjects in high school: History and Environmental Science

Favorite Activities in high school: Debate team and her brief time on the tennis team

What will you miss most about SGHS?:  “I’ll miss the friends I made there and also the wonderful teachers.”

What accomplishment of your high school class are you most proud of?: “I’m proud of my San Gabriel High School class for working extremely hard in their respective activities and also participating in the Rose Parade.” (Members of the San Gabriel, Mark Keppel and Alhambra marching bands combined and marched in the 2020 Rose Parade on Jan. 1.)

What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?: “I’m proud of becoming ASB president because it was something that I didn’t see myself doing.”
