Alhambra , CA United States

At 5:30 this evening, the Alhambra City Council will consider an ordinance to require new businesses that use shopping carts to implement containment systems before being granted a business license. This is to crack down on shopping carts being taken from businesses and then abandoned in various parts of the city.

The City Council will also vote on an urgency ordinance to ban shared scooters and bicycles, as well as an ordinance establishing a reserve fund for emergencies.

The consent agenda includes an ADA sidewalk project for Story Park and Alhambra Park.

At 7 p.m., a farewell ceremony will be held for outgoing council members Luis Ayala, Barbara Messina and Stephen Sham.
