Alhambra City Council to vote on ordinance banning commercial marijuana growth and sales

The Alhambra City Council will vote on an ordinance banning the commercial growth and sale of marijuana for recreational purposes within city limits.

The ordinance would also restrict commercial deliveries and the personal growth of marijuana in a manner that’s consistent with Proposition 64, a voter-approved ballot initiative that legalized the recreational use of marijuana in the state of California.

A public hearing will be held on Monday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. Read the full ordinance as present on Aug. 20 to the planning commission below:
