Alhambra , CA United States

A developer is requesting a zone change to build a mixed-use development at 1428 South Marengo Avenue. Residents can attend a city council public hearing on the project on Monday, June 12 at 7pm, the City of Alhambra announced.

The property is currently zoned for “high-density residential” developments. If approved, the land would be zoned as part of the Valley Boulevard Specific Plan. The development would include condominiums, a nursing facility, retail space and a medical office building on 11.6 acres.

The developer has submitted a mitigated negative declaration for the project, which can be viewed at Alhambra’s Development Services department. More information is included in the announcement here.
