Alhambra City Council public hearing on $600,000 in street improvements

Alhambra , CA United StatesAt 7 p.m., the Alhambra City Council will conduct a public hearing on authorizing $600,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds for street improvements, handicap accessibility, public facility improvements and other infrastructure upgrades.
The consent agenda includes the purchase of a trailer mounted hydro-jetter for sewer maintenance and a utility easement for 2400 South Fremont Avenue.
At 5:30 p.m., the City Council will hand out commendations to four Alhambra police officers who are retiring. A 7 p.m. ceremony involves Mayor Jeff Maloney proclaiming October to be Code Enforcement Officer Appreciation Month.
