Crossing streets in Alhambra can be a dangerous game for pedestrians as the Alhambra Source has reported this year.
Not long ago, the Alhambra Police Department conducted an enforcement operation to cite drivers who failed to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
The operation was conducted on east Main Street at Valencia Street during rush hour on a weekday afternoon. More than 25 citations were written by officers in just two hours. That’s about one citation every four to five minutes at one intersection.
Our Leah Chang reports on the Alhambra Police Department’s efforts to make the city’s streets safer for pedestrians.
