Sheila, Stan Yonemoto awarded at California Small Business Day celebration

Sheila and Stan Yonemoto, owners of Yonemoto Physical Therapy on Raymond Avenue, were awarded on Monday by Assemblyman Mike Eng for their business contributions.

The award was presented as a part of the California Small Business Day celebration in Sacramento. According to the California Small Business Association, "California Small Business Day was established in 2000 as a result of a unanimous vote in the California Assembly." The event was held as a luncheon in which Senators and Assemblymembers honored small business owners from their respective districts.

Yonemoto Physical Therapy has been in operation in Alhambra since 1982. The business has sponsored a variety of Alhambra organizations, including the Alhambra Rotary Club and the West San Gabriel Valley YMCA. The Yonemotos have also lent their therapy services to conduct free health seminars and wellness talks. Stan also serves as the marketing manager for the Chamber of Commerce

Speaking on the Yonemotos' contributions, Eng said in a press release that while the state "continues to struggle with difficult economic times, it is important that we recognize the contributions and the essential role of our most outstanding entrepreneurs play in helping our economy recover."
