Shakespeare meets Snooki at Alhambra High School

William Shakespeare meets Snooki at Alhambra High School this weekend. The drama department will perform their fall play "Midsummer/Jersey," a modern adaption of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" that takes place on MTV's famous party coast "Jersey Shore."

"It is Shakespeare with a twist and has many comedic and current pop culture references," wrote Alhambra drama student Tuan Tran in an email to Alhambra Source. "There will be dancing, singing, and a whole lot of laughs by all. We have all worked incredibly hard on this production and believe that all types of people will be able to enjoy it."

The Alhambra High School drama department will perform "Midsummer/Jersey" on Nov. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Tickets are $6 presale for students and $8 at the door.
