During tonight’s Alhambra Unified School District's Board of Education meeting, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Gary Gonzales will recognize the Rotary Club Teachers' Mini Grant Award winners.
The February 21 agenda states that the Board of Education will also vote on whether to enter an agreement with BusWest and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, LLC, for the lease-purchase of four Thomas school buses.
In addition, the staff requests that the Board of Education approve several change orders for the construction of new classrooms at Monterey Highlands Elementary School and Repetto Elementary School, a gym lobby and dance studio project at Mark Keppel High School, and an auditorium sound system project at San Gabriel High School.
A public hearing will also be held during tonight's board meeting so that parents and community members can review and provide recommendations on the 2017-2022 Local Educational Agency (LEA) Plan and Addendum.
