Police ask for public's help investigating vandalism at Baldwin and Ramona elementary schools

As students start school this week, police are asking for the public's help in investigating acts of vandalism that occurred at Ramona and Baldwin elementary schools, according to a Wednesday neighborhood crime alert from the Alhambra Police Department.

"Until we are able to identify and arrest the persons responsible, we are asking your help," reads the statement. "If you see anyone on school grounds during evening or early morning hours, please DON'T IGNORE IT — REPORT IT!"

Ramona Elementary is located at Norwood Plaza and 5th Street while Baldwin Elementary is located at Almansor Street and Adams Avenue. Students arrived at both schools Wednesday for the first day of the 2014-15 school year.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Alhambra Police Department at (626) 570-5151.
