Pet of the week: Anabelle from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every week we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Anabelle, a gray domestic long hair cat. Read more about Anabelle below!

Name: Anabelle

ID: 21757

Gender: Female

Breed: Domestic Long Hair

Age: 2 years

Weight: 8 pounds

Fur: Gray

Anabelle is a beautiful young cat, with silky long gray hair and a sweet personality. She came to the shelter as a stray after being trapped and clearly had not been taken care of. Not a nice experience for this amiable girl. So no surprise when she first came in she was shy and unsure of shelter life, with the other cats and the people coming and going.

Anabelle has become more confident and gets braver every day. Now she has learned that staff and volunteers are there to pet her, brush her, play with her and give her treats. Annabelle's lovely pale green eyes invite those who calmly approach to meet her and stroke her gently.  That is the way to this gentle girl's heart. Please come in to Meow Manor and meet Anabelle and see if she is the one that will make your family complete and give her a kind forever home. Her adoption fee is $99, which includes spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel. We are off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Annabelle, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets.
