Pedestrian suffers critical injuries after being struck by car on Valley Boulevard

A woman was struck by a car Thursday while crossing Valley Boulevard at 7th Street, reports the Pasadena Star-News

A couple was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when a black Honda Accord heading west on Valley struck the woman around 9:40 p.m., Sgt. Jerry Johnson of the Alhambra Police Department told the Star-News. She suffered head injuries and was taken to the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.

The driver did not appear to be under the influence and was not arrested, Johnson said.
