Paninis and pasta: Salad Farm and Caffè Italiano open on Main Street

Main Street just added more salads and pasta to its food offerings. Salad Farm on Main and Third Street celebrated its grand opening Tuesday with balloons and promotions. The restaurant — which advertises fresh and healthy food — serves salads, paninis, baked potatoes, and quesadillas. It's most popular item, according to a restaurant employee, is the turkey avocado panini.

Alhambra also scored a new Italian restaurant in March. Caffè Italiano, specializing in food from the Italian island of Sardinia, opened on Main and Second Street on March 16. Chef Paolo Dessena was born in Sardinia and uses fresh produce and ingredients from the island, according to a press release from the restaurant. Choices include Italian staples such as bruschetta, pasta, steak, and tiramisu.

Have you tried Salad Farm or Caffè Italiano? Know of another new restaurant?
