On the agenda: Noise ordinance revision and a $59,332 rebate for saving energy

Alhambra City Council will hold a public hearing Monday at 7 p.m. to discuss a revision of the Alhambra Noise Ordinance. The proposed revision would simplify the existing ordinance and include commercial and residential projects in downtown Alhambra, according to the council agenda.
The San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments will also present City Council a rebate check for $59,332 for completing two major water pump efficiency upgrades and saving over 700,000 kWh. This is equivalent to an annual energy savings of $107,000. Council has not stated where the money will be appropriated.
The meeting will end with a PowerPoint presentation highlighting outgoing City Manager Julio Fuentes's major projects.
