On the agenda: Councilman nominated to Water Quality Authority Board and All Souls Centennial Day

Alhambra City Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at City Hall. On the agenda is the nomination of Councilman Luis Ayala to the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority Board. Council will discuss whether to cast its votes for Ayala, the only candidate for the board's vacancy. The Water Quality Authority helps develop, finance, and implement groundwater treatment programs in the San Gabriel Basin.

Mayor Barbara Messina will also declare Dec. 8, 2012, "All Souls Centennial Day," to commemorate the 100 years of mass at All Souls Church
