On the agenda: Council to vote on raffling off a house

Alhambra City Council will vote Monday whether to authorize staff to raffle off a house. If approved, staff will conduct a raffle for a single-family home on Front Street. The city will also reduce the purchasing price to assist the homebuyer. Alhambra residents who meet the city's first-time homebuyer requirements will be eligible to enter. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Council members will also decide whether to grant a one-year contract extension to Southland Transit — which operates Alhambra Community Transit (ACT) and the city's Senior Ride programs — in the amount of $1,484,171.

City Council meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 and 7 p.m. at City Hall. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
