On the agenda: Alhambra starts design search for new parking structure

Alhambra City Council will vote Monday night to begin the design search for a proposed parking structure on 1st and Main streets. The structure will meet the increasing demand for parking in downtown Alhambra, according to staff.

The Alhambra Police Department will also receive a $49,777 grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to help detect and prevent the sale of alcohol to underage drinkers and enable police to provide training and education to establishments that sell alcohol. Alhambra police received the grant last year as well as in 2011.
