On the agenda: Alhambra mayor to proclaim October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mayor Gary Yamauchi will declare October 2014 "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" and November 2014 "End Domestic Violence Month" on Monday. The city's declaration follows the National Breast Cancer Foundation's annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence's campaign to end domestic violence, both traditionally in October.

City Council will also consider funding a professional audit of the police department’s Property Room — a storage room of all property booked into the Alhambra Police Department — and new police equipment including crime analytical software. If approved, the city will use $24,708.50 of the Federal Asset Forfeiture Revenue Fund.

City Council usually meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 and 7 p.m. at City Hall. Council will only meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
