On the agenda: A visit from Congressman Adam Schiff and a safer route for Alhambra High students

Congressman Adam Schiff, who represented Alhambra for 10 years before the city was redistricted in 2011, will address Alhambra City Council during Monday evening's 7 p.m. meeting. Staff will also present a Strategic Plan update, which includes three-year and six-month goals for the city and is updated every six months.

Council will vote during the second part of the meeting — called the Consent Agenda — on whether to accept state funds to add a lit crosswalk on the route to Alhambra High School. The resolution will authorize the city manager to accept Transportation Funds from the California Department of Transportation and Metro in the amount of $190,720. The project will add lights on the crosswalk on South Second Street between AHS and the Alhambra Public Library.

City Council meets every second and fourth Monday of the month. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
