On the agenda: A major grocery store on Valley? A new parking structure on First and Main?

Alhambra City Council will review on Monday the city's Strategic Plan — six-month and three-year goals that are evaluated twice a year. Council members and city staff identified in October future city objectives, including possibly bringing a major national grocery store to Valley Boulevard and funding a new parking structure on First and Main streets.

Mayor Steven Placido will also be presenting certificates of service to six outgoing city board and commission members. Alhambra currently has 11 boards and commissions — such as the Arts & Cultural Events Committee, Planning Commission, and Youth Commission — that focus on specific issues in the city.

City Council meets every second and fourth Monday at 7 p.m at City Hall. Read the complete agenda below. You can also download the document or make it larger using the controls on the bottom.
