New shave ice shop opens in Alhambra

It's never too cold for shave ice, and Alhambrans now have a new option for the frozen treat. Ice Que—an offspring of Quenelle in Burbank—opened Tuesday on Main and 4th streets, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ice Que features Chinese-, Japanese-, and Korean-inspired dishes, such as a milk and honey bowl with vanilla ice, coffee caramel, egg pudding, honey jelly, rice cakes, and coconut flakes; and the Little Tokyo, with vanilla snow, jasmine milk, adzuki beans, mochi, coconut flakes, and green tea ice cream, according to the L.A. Times. Ice Que also offers customers the option to choose their own toppings.
