Motive unknown in multiple stabbing at Front and Fremont*

The victim in Tuesday's stabbing on the 2600 block of West Front Street told Alhambra police he was attacked without warning by the unknown suspect, according to a Wednesday afternoon press release from the Alhambra Police Department. No motive has been determined.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time. He was transferred to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center with stab wounds that were not life-threatening.

Published 2:00 p.m.:

A man was stabbed Tuesday afternoon at Front Street and Fremont Avenue, according to a Facebook post from the Alhambra Police Department. Around 4:15 p.m., an altercation between two men escalated and one began to stab the other with an unknown object. The victim, approximately 45, sustained stab wounds to his back and arms and was transferred to a local hospital. The suspect fled the scene.
