Meet Sookie, a domestic short hair, at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Sookie, a domestic short hair. Read more about Sookie below!
Name: Sookie
ID: 11958
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic short hair
Age: 11 years
Weight: 8 pounds
Fur: Black
Sookie is a petite, well-mannered gal who enjoys laying by the window soaking up the warm sun. She is quiet and mellow with a playful side that comes out when she sees a feather toy.  She loves to be scratched under her chin and is looking for love and affection. She would be happy to have a lap to curl up in at the end of the day. Stop by and meet Sookie to see if she would be a nice addition to your family!
She currently resides at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel in Meow Manor.  We are located off San Gabriel Blvd., north of Mission and south of Las Tunas. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Sookie, please stop by any time from 10:00am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday.
In honor of St. Patrick, who lived to a ripe old age of 74 in 461 A.D., we celebrate our senior pets for their wisdom, experience, adaptability, willingness to learn new tricks and for easily loving and bonding with us. For the month of March, the adoption fee for all ‘senior’ pets five years and older is only $39 for all adopters. This includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian.
Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on Sookie.   See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets.
