Meet Smokey at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Name: Smokey

ID: 27588

Gender: Male

Breed: American Staffordshire Mix

Age: 3 years

Weight: 72 pounds

Fur:  Blue

Smokey is a stunning Blue American Staffordshire-mix boy with stunning great looks and a sweet and gentle personality. He has a beautiful amber-silver grey coat, adorable floppy ears, and soulful brown eyes.

Weighing about 72 pounds, this gentle giant is tons of love! At only about 3 years of age, Smokey has not had a good start in life. He was found wandering the streets of Rosemead and it was clear that he had not been cared for in a long time. He had a cut on his right ear and terrible skin infection that has caused some hair loss but despite all that; he remains sweet, gentle, loving, and trusting. He gets bonded rather quickly and walks right next to his human friends. He is calm during baths and although he doesn’t know what toys are, he enjoys playing with wet towels. He also seems to do well with other dogs.

Now that he is healthy to be up for adoption, he cannot wait to find his very own home. If you are the forever loving and caring family that this sweet boy deserves; please stop by to meet him and prepare to fall in love with Smokey. His adoption fee is $145, which includes spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel. We are off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Smokey, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets.
