Meet Senator the miniature pinscher at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source has partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for our new weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Senator, a male miniature pinscher. Read more about Senator below!

Name: SenatorID: MPK14249Gender: MaleBreed: Miniature pinscherAge: 3-4 yearsWeight: 10.7 poundsFur: Black with brown legs and white chest

Senator is a very sweet, fun boy. Once he gets to know you, he will climb onto your lap and give you kisses. Senator is curious about the world around him, and like human senators he can be a bit talkative!

Senator loves his outings to the play yard! Miniature pinschers are lively and vigorous dogs that need plenty of exercise and activity. They are endlessly curious, love to learn, and pick up commands quickly. Senator would be a good companion and look out for his family.

Senator's adoption fee is $120, which includes his neuter surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Senator or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif., 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
