Meet Rocky the Rottweiler at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source has partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for our new weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's rescue is Rocky, a male Rottweiler. Read more about Rocky below!

Name: RockyID: 7921Gender: MaleBreed: RottweilerAge: 6 yearsWeight: 96 poundsFur: Short black with rust-colored markings

Rottweilers like Rocky are intelligent, powerful, and make devoted companions. They love exercise, and Rocky is good on a leash. He has a gentle nature and affectionate personality that has made him a favorite among the shelter’s dog walkers. Rocky will not be happy left alone in a backyard; daily exercise will make him an enjoyable indoor companion, lying comfortably by your feet.

Rocky's adoption fee is $135, which includes his neuter surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Rocky or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif., 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
