Meet Raven the Chihuahua-miniature pinscher mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Raven, a female Chihuahua-miniature pinscher mix. Read more about Raven below!

Name: RavenID: 5081Gender: FemaleBreed: Chihuahua-miniature pinscher mixAge: 6 yearsWeight: 13 poundsFur: Short-haired, black with brown markings

Raven is a very sweet and lovable Chihuahua-min pin mix and has the best traits of both breeds! She is looking for a special person or family. She is easy to handle and behaves beautifully with strangers. Raven spends a lot of time with other dogs and we are pleased to report that she gets along famously with all of them.

Raven has a calm temperament. Because of her easy-going, friendly nature, she is chosen to participate in off-site events and has quickly become a shelter ambassador. Much to our surprise, at last week’s event, she professed her love of cats by showering several felines with many kisses. She would be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

Raven's adoption fee is $120, which includes her spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian. She is also eligible for our "Senior for Senior" reduced adoption fee program.

If you are interested in meeting Raven or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
