Meet Pepper the schnauzer terrier mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Pepper, a female schnauzer terrier mix. Read more about Pepper below!

Name: Pepper  ID: 14806Gender: FemaleBreed: Schnauzer terrier mix  Age: 4 yearsWeight: 12 poundsFur: Salt and Pepper

Pepper has a friendly personality and loves people. She has a lot of happy energy, loves going for walks, and is easy to handle on leash. She also likes to play with toys. She likes to be active and explore all that is going on around her, but she is also quite happy being held or sitting in a lap.

Pepper gets along well with her kennel mate and seems to like the other dogs she has met at the shelter. Staff has taken her to a few off-site adoption events, and she behaves well in public. She enjoys meeting new people and having new adventures.

Pepper would love to be part of an active family who can give her the love, attention, and exercise she needs. She would do best with a yard with space for her to run and play, as well as daily walks with her family. Come in to meet lovely Miss Pepper to see if your home is the right one for her.

Pepper's adoption fee is $120, which includes spay surgery, first vaccinations, a microchip, and a free wellness visit with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Pepper or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
