Meet Patty at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Patty, a Labrador retriever mix. Read more about Patty below!
Name: Patty
ID: 18381
Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador retriever mix
Age: 3 years
Weight: 52 pounds
Fur: Black with white markings
Patty is a cute-as-a-button 3-year old Lab/Retriever girl with a short black coat that makes grooming a breeze. Patty can be best described as a "people dog" because her favorite past time is being affectionate and rewarding her human friends with many kisses. She is not shy about asking for hugs, trying to fit in any available lap, or begging for belly rubs. She walks well on a leash and is very curious about her surroundings.
She enjoys her walks and would make a good exercise partner. Patty also likes to play with squeaky toys but, when given the choice, she prefers human affection over anything else. If a love-bug is what you're looking for, then Patty is the girl for you! With the love and affection she has to offer, she would make a wonderful addition to an active family.
She currently resides at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel. We are located off San Gabriel Boulevard, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas. To arrange a "Meet and Greet" with Patty, please stop by any time from 10:00am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday.
Her adoption fee is $145 which includes her spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian. Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on Patty. Check us out at sgvhumane.org for more information about shelter services and photos of all our wonderful adoptable pets.
The Habit will open their newest restaurant in Alhambra at 100 Main Street on Saturday, September 27. Join us from 11:30am to 1:30pm for lunch. All proceeds will benefit the shelter.
You are invited to join the San Gabriel "Strut Your Mutt" dog walking team and the "Race for the Rescues" team to raise funds for shelter animals. The walk is Saturday, October 10th at Exposition Park and the race is Saturday, October 24th at the Rose Bowl. Go to the shelter’s website for more information and to sign up!
