Meet Luna the Chihuahua mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Luna, a female Chihuahua mix. Read more about Luna below!

Name: LunaID: 15178Gender: FemaleBreed: Chihuahua mixAge: 8 yearsWeight: 6 poundsFur: Short, black

Luna has a calm, gentle energy, and is very easy to walk on leash. She has a dainty prance and is light on her feet. She likes to explore and sniff her surroundings, and also enjoys relaxing and rolling on the grass for a belly rub.

Luna loves people and is an affectionate dog who loves cuddling in a lap. She likes the company of other dogs, but prefers those who do not have a high energy level. She would probably do best in a quiet home with an individual or couple who is looking for a gentle companion. Come in and meet the lovely Miss Luna and see if she would fit into your family.

Luna's adoption fee is $120, which includes spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian. She qualifies for our "Senior for Senior" reduced-fee adoption program.

If you are interested in meeting Luna or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
