Meet Kit at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every week we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Kit, a black and white domestic short hair. Read more about Kit below!

ID: 21559

Gender: Female

Breed: Domestic Short Hair mix

Age: 1 1/2 years

Weight: 8 pounds

Fur: Black and white

Kit is a gorgeous 1 1/2 year old girl with a sleek black coat that just glows. She has a flash of white  on her chest and tummy, adding a little touch of glamour to her coat.  Her huge kiwi green eyes dramatically call for attention, and will show her love to the  forever family that chooses her. Kit came to the shelter as a stray and initially was shy and reserved. She has definitely come out of her shell!  She can still be  a little timid with strangers, but she warms up quickly to those that pay her attention and shows her lovely affectionate side. With the volunteers and staff she is now one of the friendliest girls in Meow Manor!  So while she may need a little patience getting to know you; that patience will reap huge rewards.  Kit is also very playful and that is the way to her heart. She loves chasing laser dots, and batting at toys/feathers that come her way. It is entertaining to watch her "stalk" a moving toy/dot and then pounce.

Kit will add love, beauty and entertainment to her forever home. Kit qualifies for the black cat special promotional adoption rate of $25 through August 31, in honor of National Black Cat Appreciation Day on August 17, 2016. Please come in and meet her. This price includes spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel.  We are off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive.  To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Kit, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets
