Meet Kailala at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Kailala, an American Staffordshire terrier. Read more about Kailala below!
Name: Kailala
ID: 18165
Gender: Female
Breed: American Staffordshire terrier
Age: 1 1/2 years
Weight: 51 pounds
Fur: Grey and white
Kailala is a beautiful year-and-a-half old Staffordshire terrier with a petite body that makes her irresistible to cuddle with. She also has a beautiful smoky coat with hints of fawn that is easy to keep smooth and shiny. Her grooming needs would be minimal and would include baths and some brushing. She has the prettiest and most expressive ears that add to her silly and very cool personality. They go up and down and side-to-side, just begging for love and attention!
Kailala’s favorite past times are walks around the block or a park, sitting on laps, nestling in laps, cuddling in laps, and falling sleep in laps. You can say she really likes laps!  She also likes being out and about because she really enjoys socializing with as many people as she can. Second to being a social butterfly, Kailala is a terrific model. She loves the camera and the camera loves her! Kailala would be the perfect dress-up and Halloween buddy, as she doesn’t mind modeling clothes, sunglasses, or just her beautiful self.
If you’re looking for a cool girl to strut around the neighborhood, please come meet Kailala! All she is looking for is love and a family to call her own.
She currently resides at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel.  We are located off San Gabriel Blvd., north of Mission and south of Las Tunas. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Kailala, please stop by any time from 10:00am to 4:30pm Tuesday thru Sunday.
Her adoption fee is $145 which includes her spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian. Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on Kailala. Check us out at sgvhumane.org for more information about shelter services and photos of all our wonderful adoptable pets.
To celebrate National Black Cat Appreciation Day, all black cats are available for the special reduced adoption fee of $25 through the end of August. Readers are invited to join the San Gabriel "Strut Your Mutt’"dog walking team to raise funds for shelter animals. The walk is on Saturday October 10th at Exposition Park. Go to the shelter’s website at sgvhumane.org for more information and how to sign up!
