Meet Hurley the Chihuahua mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Hurley, a male Chihuahua mix. Read more about Hurley below!

Name: HurleyID: 15264Gender: MaleBreed: Chihuahua mixAge: 6 yearsWeight: 14 poundsFur: Short, tan with black highlights

Hurley has very long slender legs—all the better to chase toys! He has an adorable underbite that gives him a very unique look, and his face has beautiful markings of both tan and black.

He gets along well with his kennel mate and likes to run and play. Hurley is very fast to fetch a toy, and will run and jump into a lap to keep his toy safe. Hurley came to us from another shelter where he was famous for his fetching skills. He even has his own YouTube video!

Hurley would bring joy to an active family who can give him the regular exercise and play time that he loves. He originally shared his home with another dog, so he would probably do well with another dog as a playmate.

Hurley's adoption fee is $120, which includes neuter surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Hurley or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
