Meet Honey the boxer mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Honey, a female boxer mix. Read more about Honey below!

Name: Honey ID: 13034Gender: FemaleBreed: Boxer mix  Age: 4 yearsWeight: 49 poundsFur: Tan with white markings

Honey is a charming boxer mix that came to the shelter because her owners could no longer care for her. They tell us she is good with kids and other dogs. She will need daily exercise and will be a great running or hiking companion. She is happy, high-spirited, playful, curious, and energetic. She is also very smart, eager, and quick to learn.

The boxer currently ranks as one of the most popular dogs in America. One of the breed's most notable characteristics is its desire for human affection. Boxers are patient and spirited with children, making them a wonderful choice for families.

Honey's adoption fee is $135, which includes spay surgery, first vaccinations, microchip, and a free wellness visit with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Honey or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.
