Meet Felix the Chihuahua mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

UPDATE: Felix has been adopted! But there are many other available pets at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. Visit the shelter to meet the animal who could possibly be the newest member of your family.

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Felix, a male Chihuahua mix. Read more about Felix below!

Name: FelixID: 5123Gender: MaleBreed: Chihuahua mix Age: 2 yearsWeight: 7 poundsFur: Golden blonde, light brown and white

Felix is a very sweet and gentle Chihuahua mix with big unusual eyes: one blue and one brown. He loves running around the yard, chasing and fetching toys, and playing tug-of-war with other little dogs. He loves the company of other dogs and is very playful and flirtatious.

Felix is a pleasure to walk and loves to explore new territory. He has a magical way of stealing your heart and you won’t be able to resist him!

His adoption fee is $120, which includes his neuter surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Felix or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.

Send the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society a photo of your pet and the furry member of your family could be part of the shelter's new calendar! If you have great pet photos and want to share, the SGVHS welcomes your submission for its first annual calendar contest. Email horizontal photos to [email protected] Tell your friends, family and coworkers — everyone is invited to compete! Submission deadline is June 30, 2014.
