Meet Earl at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the Week." Every week we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Earl, a American Staffordshire terrier mix. Read more about Earl below!

Name: Earl
ID: 21227
Gender: Male
Breed: American Staffordshire terrier mix
Age: 3 years
Weight: 7 pounds
Fur: Gray

Earl is a handsome three-year-old  "Blue" American Staffordshire mix with bouncy floppy ears and a silly personality that will make anyone smile! Earl was found walking the streets of Rosemead. Although his previous owners were locate, they decided to abandon Earl at the shelter.

Despite this heartbreak, Earl is still a loving boy with a positive outlook in life. He is also smart: he has quickly learned the sit and shake commands and is gentle while taking treats. He is also not shy around the camera, and is into posing for pictures and selfies.

Besides going on brisk walks around the park, his other favorite activity is to lounge near someone's legs while receiving non-stop belly rubs. He is also quite the curious boy and is often on two legs investigating his surroundings while looking for treats. See a short video of Earl here.

Earl definitely deserves a loving forever home where he can be a beloved family member, and where his goofy antics and puppy love can be appreciated. If you are that family, please come meet this handsome boy! His adoption fee is $145 and includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian. Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on Earl.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel. We are off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive. To arrange a “Meet and Greet” with Earl, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets.

We are always looking for hard working, dedicated animal lovers to join our team to fulfill our goal of “Putting People and Pets Together.” If you have what it takes to succeed in our life-saving work, we want to meet you! Check out our employment opportunities on our website

2016 calendars are available at the shelter for a $10 donation. The photos were selected among hundreds submitted by shelter supporters.
