Meet Cassidy the Chihuahua mix at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Alhambra Source partnered with the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for a weekly column, "Pet of the week." Every Thursday, we'll introduce you to a new animal looking for a home. This week's pet is Cassidy, a female Chihuahua mix. Read more about Cassidy below!

Name: CassidyID: 9942Gender: FemaleBreed: Chihuahua mixAge: 1.5 yearsWeight: 9 poundsFur: Short, tan with white markings

Cassidy, with one ear that goes up and the other that flops over, has a look all her own. She smiles at you when you walk by — she is usually ready for a walk or playtime with her friends.

She would do best in a calm environment with someone who will return her love and affection. She would also enjoy the company of another compatible dog in the home to help her blossom. Please come in to meet Cassidy in person. She will charm you with her sweet personality.

Cassidy's adoption fee is $120, which includes her spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations, and a free wellness checkup with a participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting Cassidy or any of the other available animals at the shelter, visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society at 851 E. Grand Ave., San Gabriel, Calif. 91776, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For more information, call (626) 286-1159.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is hosting a pet photo contest! Send the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society a photo of your pet and the furry member of your family could be part of the shelter's new calendar! Email horizontal photos to [email protected]. Tell your friends, family, and coworkers — everyone is invited to participate! Submission deadline is June 30, 2014.
