Meet Athena at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society

Name: Athena

ID: 26941

Gender: Female

Breed: Jindo mix

Age: 5 years

Weight: 35 pounds

Fur:  Brown and white

Athena is a five-year old Jindo mix girl with the classic charming Jindo breed looks. She is a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed beauty sporting a honey-colored coat, brown eyes and perked up ears.

This sweet girl came to the shelter after she was surrendered by her previous owners because she was sad in their home. After losing her home Athena is now acclimating to a shelter environment and enjoying quality time with the volunteers who love to take her out on walks to the park. She does very well on a leash though sometimes she prefers to stay in the off-leash recreational areas of the shelter. She enjoys socializing with people and seems to do well around other dogs. She is gentle when she takes treats and has a very sweet, calm and kind disposition.

Weighing about 35 pounds, this lovely girl is the perfect size for cuddling! All Athena is looking for is a forever-loving home and family that she can call her own. If you would like to make this lovely girl a part of your family, please come visit her soon! Her adoption fee is $145, which includes spay surgery, a microchip, first vaccinations and a free wellness check-up at a participating veterinarian.

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is located at 851 E. Grand Avenue in San Gabriel. We are off San Gabriel Blvd, north of Mission and south of Las Tunas Drive. To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Athena, please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday. See our website at www.sgvhumane.org for information and photos of all our wonderful pets.
