Manhole cover and copper thieves target Alhambra

The Alhambra Police Department is asking Alhambra residents to be on the look out for thieves stealing manhole covers, city owned drain trap covers, and copper wiring from street lights.  A number of thefts occurred on Monday evening, Oct. 31, 2011 between the hours of 6pm and 10pm. Thieves take the city owned property and sell it for a profit. Crime Prevention Officer Sharon Williams advises: "If you notice a manhole cover and/or trap missing from your neighborhood or, if you see someone messing with these covers or with the street lights,  please call the Alhambra Police Department immediately at (626) 570-5151, or 9-1-1."
