Man dies in Alhambra stabbing

An Alhambra man died Wednesday after a domestic dispute ended with a stabbing, the Pasadena Star-News reports.

The 38-year-old's wife asked a neighbor to call 9-1-1 just after 1 a.m., saying that her husband assaulted her, Sgt. Jerry Johnson told the Star-News. After returning to her apartment on the 400 block of South Almansor Street, she told her neighbor that her husband had stabbed himself.

When officers arrived, the man was dead. While police are treating the incident as a homicide, they are unsure whether the incident was a suicide or homicide, according to the Star-News.
